A Day in the Life of Your Pet at Dogwood Veterinary Dental

We strive to make your pet's dental visit as stress-free and comfortable as possible. Here's what you can expect when you bring your furry friend to us:

• Morning Drop-Off:  Drop off is any time between 7:10 and 7:45am. You will meet with one of our compassionate team members to go over your pet’s dental waiver and answer any questions you may have.

• Comprehensive Dental Cleaning Package: Pre-anesthetic bloodwork (including Chem 10, Electrolytes, SDMA, and CBC ) to ensure that your pet is healthy enough for anesthesia, a thorough physical exam, anesthesia carefully monitored by one of our professional team members, IV catheter and fluids for safety and hydration throughout the procedure, thorough oral exam by the doctor, full-mouth dental x-rays for a complete picture of your pet’s oral health, and a nail trim.

• Detailed Examination and Treatment Plan: After the oral exam and x-rays are complete, the veterinarian will review the findings and discuss any recommendations with you.  If you approve the doctor’s treatment plan, we will get treatment done that same day; we will not do anything without your approval.

• Discharge appointment: Once your pet is awake and recovering from anesthesia, we will reach out to set up a discharge appointment time.  One of our experienced team members will answer any questions and provide you with detailed aftercare instructions to help your pet recover comfortably at home.
